As we look over our 27 years of TCC history, the repertoire has definitely reflected where we were in our lives, and this CD is no exception. Viewing the history of America through musical eyes made us realize all the more how we have not progressed as far as we might think. We still gather in groups that look alike and think alike -and ostracize those who don't. It is a pattern not only in human history, but in our country as well.
Songs of Our Nation reflects this, but it also conveys a continued optimism that we can somehow be better than we are and rise up to create a place that is better-for everyone.
