In the 2009-2010 season, the Chorale reached beyond its 14 subscription concerts with more than 30 benefit appearances across the Metroplex and Texas.
The Turtle Creek Chorale's mission statement ends with the phrase, "... and spread harmony and goodwill throughout the world."
Benefit Appearances
Turtle Creek Chorale reaches beyond its 14 subscription concerts with more than 30 benefit appearances across the Metroplex and Texas.
In January 2003, the Chorale's benefit performance helped raise over $4,000 for the historic Texas Theater. This 700-seat venue will provide much needed space for arts groups and the community.
Turtle Creek Chorale leads a benefit performance to raise funds for disaster relief in Haiti through the Clinton Bush Haiti Fund. The concert event raised over $17,000 and included Del Shores, Liz Mikel, Anton Shaw, the Cathedral of Hope Choir, Women’s Chorus of Dallas, Gary Floyd & Theatre Three cast members, Linda and Larry Petty, Resounding Harmony, and the Men’s Chorus of Hamilton Park Baptist Church.
Auction Donations
The Chorale continues its support of other non-profit organizations. The donation of CD's and concert tickets help Texas schools, churches and service organizations raised much-needed funds. Last year over 100 organizations received TCC donations valued at more than $20,000.
