The Heart of the Sound
The Turtle Creek Chorale supports the growth and education of the next generation of musicians through panels, publications and performances.
The numerous resources of the membership artistic staff provide choral education across the country. Through clinics, professional panels and consultation, TCC generously offers its resources to other choruses, conductors and education administrators.
To promote the importance and value of music education and musical excellence, the Chorale has performed for both the American Choral Directors Association and the Music Educators National Conference.
In addition, Shawnee Press Publications has established the "Turtle Creek Chorale Series" dedicated to premiering new TCC choral arrangements. Dr. Timothy Seelig's vocal exercises for The Choral Warm-Up Collection Published by Alfred Publishing Company and the Turtle Creek Chorale Series are being sold around the world.
TCC’s Education Program has provided choral education materials and leadership to schools, organizations and music festivals across the country. The Chorale also offers opportunities for area students and teachers to attend concerts at a reduced price. Chorale leadership is active as clinicians, adjudicators and are strong advocates for enhanced arts education in the city and the state.
